Ethan W.

With Ethan and his parents (2006; Peterborough, ON)

Check out Ethan's website!: http://www.fliptricksfortourette.com!

I met Ethan in July of 2006, at a skateboarding competition he set up himself to raise money for the TSFC. When I was his age (8 years old when I first met him), I didn't know that I had Tourette. I didn't WANT to know that I had Tourette. I NEVER would have been courageous enough to talk about my Tourette, and there's No WAY I'd EVER have been standing in front of hundreds of people at an event I organized myself, letting everyone there know that, "I HAVE TOURETTE SYNDROME"!

I think Ethan deserves a lot of credit for what he's already accomplished. I've met a lot of folks with Tourette now, and Ethan is one of those select few I'd jump in a car and drive 7 hours for (to watch him compete at "Flip Tricks for Tourette", his fundraiser). He's also one heck of a skateboarder...once I'm sent some pictures from the day, I'll post them for all to see!

Ethan's an incredible role model I'm glad to have met - Keep On Ticcin', Ethan!!!
