Chandra

In 2001 I met a VERY mature and wonderful young woman who, at the age of 10(!), wrote and gave a presentation IN FRONT OF HER GRADE 5 CLASSROOM about her disorders (and is very glad she did)!

Chandra is now 13, and just learned that some girls thinks she is 'weird'. Rather than just deciding that these girls are mean and hate her, though, Chandra realized that THEY MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND WHY she is a bit different. That made her think that is was time to write a NEW speech.

Chandra wants to help other kids with differences teach THEIR friends about why they are 'weird' too! She has given me permission to PUBLISH HER PRESENTATIONS HERE (They are both REALLY GOOD)!
