Tina
Hahn is the founder of Symmetree Media, a unique producer of programming
that incorporates nature and spirituality with a multi-cultural perspective.
Recent projects include: Life's a Twitch, a half-hour documentary
celebrating difference through a profile of Duncan McKinlay, and Passionate
Involvement, a one-hour documentary produced in association with
ASpace Gallery to document CAB2000, capturing the passion of the community
arts process through a diverse range of communities and artists.
Symmetree
has also worked in partnership with a number of organizations. In 1999,
we produced Made in Canada in association with Pangaea New Media
for Kodak Canada, a straight to the web video documentation of a breast-cancer
fundraiser that launched Bryan Adams' book of the same name. Over the
last year we have provided post-production assistance to:
Focus
Productions who produces videos for the Ontario Secondary School Teacher's
Federation, Worker's Health and Safety Centre, among others.
Occasional
Outburst Video Associates who have just completed a series of bicycle
safety training videos aimed at commercial vehicle drivers.
Scadding
Court Community Centre who has produced two video about cervical cancer
for Mandarin speaking women, and is developing other community arts
videos as well.
Sierra
Leone Canada Watch who return to Sierra Leone every year and produce
an annual video report.
Tina Hahn
has worked for the National Film Board of Canada and for independent
filmmakers such as Christa Singer, Judy Jackson and Geeta Sondhi. She
has also worked as a software designer for Interactive Image Technologies.
Before
being awarded the Documentary Calling Card, she was chosen for the OFDC
Hot Docs Market Mentorship program in 2000.
